I just went down to the stores to check the partywares recently... the things are not that nice... it looks rather stale ( like the designs are not modern and attractive to children).... and its rather pricey! anyone has other recommendations? Or does anyone know of anyone who does designing of partywares?

If you are looking for really unique/fancy stuff, you can try:


- Party City at Holland Village and Raffles City
- Party With Us at Centrepoint and Valley Point

But of course, they are more pricey compared to places like Rochor Centre. Or what about local online party supply stores?

Someone from another post ask whether there is a place that sells brown paper bags… those like grocery bags that US pple are given to put their groceries when they go supermarket…

I plan to celebrate by DD bday at home. Looking for shops were I can get theme based party stuff also return gifts. Heard there are some shops near Bugis MRT. Could someone tell exact shop name/location? Is it Bugis Village or Bugis Junction or Rochor Center.

These are the party shops in that vicinity as per my impression :


* Bugis - the stretch of shophouses between KFC and Mcdonalds (facing fu lu shou) - party stuff here are more common

* Rochor centre - (near Rochor NTUC) Note that Rochor centre is just opposite Fu Lu Shou.

* Middle road - same stretch of Illuma (the portion facing the open HDB carpark and the waterloo temple) but in the direction of Bras basah. There are 3 party shops at the corner. I feel that the product range here is better.

Other place to explore include :
* Spotlight at Plaza Singapura. I saw their party favors as well as pinata. Last year I bought those metallic balloons from them at a great price… happened to have promotion
* Parkway parade level 3 outside mothercare. Use theme party stuff but think it’s more expensive.
* Daiso. I like the party bags at Daiso. You can choose the gusset paper type, etc… Thought it looks nicer.
