even Neighbourhood Sch is Not spared ....

ALL in the Same System Boiler ....
So Bro MArk U R Experiencing the Tip of the Ice Berg Now?
      πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
I hope I don't sink like the Titanic.
      Trapwithin:
So markfch being the nice relative .. will be giving them good constructive tips. πŸ˜‰
      drickymummy:
She still has time to do catch up!! I m sure u have lot of tips for her too!! πŸ˜‰
Not everyone has the same viewpt and resources, so even when I share tips, I've to be very careful to learn what not to say. Eg. they have 3 kids, I have one. It's almost impossible for one parent to coach all three comprehensively (since the dad is out of town half the time and the mum's native language is not English).
      JoeeYee:
Har? so much work? why my ds so free??.... come back I must check his file/bag carefully again... :nunchuk:
Oops, did I just sabo your ds? πŸ˜“
      janet_lee88:
Looks like no school is spared from the madness now...but PH has always kept the seats HOT (not warm) for students so that they don't rest on laurels.
Bro Mark is starting to feel the heat in the last term of P1.
Yeah, next yr ds may have moxie; the year after Science; and the year after that MO; then P5 should be preparing for PSLE. Think by P6, I'll become botak. πŸ˜‚

But still, I knew what I am getting into when I pv into PH, so can't complain. DS still looks to be coping well despite the accelerated speed in T4. Long may that last, hehe.

P1 gotta memorise 6 pages of chinese text?! Oh dear!! The stress will be on me coaching my DD to do that next year. :faint:

I agree. It's the PARENTS who feel the stress FIRST! I am not so worried if it's English, but for Chinese. . .SIGH. .. .

A neighbour complained to me that her grandson had to do 6 little story booklets for Chinese from last week till Oct. Poor Nai Nai as she is the main caregiver. It will be poor us next year.

Kinda scary hor. Dunno if I'm over-thinking, over-worrying and giving myself premature stress over HCL. On the bright side, we still have 3+ months to enjoy till P1 next year & go for holiday during sch term time :boogie:

I beg to differ for Funx3. She is enjoying herself, well, at least is keeping her cool very very well, especially for the achievements from her dd πŸ™‚

It's good to have such people around to 'balance' us, otherwise we will go crazy :siao:

This thread will soon go into dormant mood as the you-know-what dates are looming .... Mark will have to ε”±η‹¬θ§’ζˆ, πŸ˜‚ . Oh, forget, Funx3 can be 100% relax even before our P2-5 students start their paper 1 ... so good ...

You can retire a rich tai-tai, Funx3; unlike me, who must make sure I've my own nest for old age.

For my ds, I noticed that the Chinese homework alone is more than everything else combined. Much more. :yikes:

Thus it'll be good for future P1ers to go in with a strong foundation in Chinese already, so that they can spend less time working on those homework as the foundation is there. There are lots of show & tell for things like 叀诗, ε„ΏζŒ so kids who speak Mandarin at home will have a big advantage.

We folks shouldn't be complaining; we have it easy already. They used to have CA & SA at P1 and class streaming for P2 classes. Phew!

Yalor, Funx3 can be so relax. Wonder who is taking over from the L-F club leadership come 2012?
