      smartmummy:
I remember the qn but i don't remember where I saw it.

The plant venus flytrap closes when fly sitting on.What characteristic of living thing is it?
I remeber there was no answer \"respond to changes\".
Is that the answer \"living thing can grow\"?
      Hi

Students may find this video interesting.

It shows how a Venus Flytrap responds to stimuli when an insect touches its fine hairs.

My son's answer was for (b)

Group M is the group with things made out of two more materials.

T put 1 mark instead of 2 marks.

              What does need to write?

Group M is the group with things made out of two or more materials, but ping pong ball made out of one material.

                  Is that correct answer?

                    Hi! Smartmummy,
Do you mind take another clearer pic or maybe to type out the question and your DS's answer? The shot is a bit blur.

Thanks champion for pointing out the problem.

                      The qn are
                      a) Which object has been grouped wrongly?
my son's answer was Ping pong ball and it is correct
                      b) Give a reason for your answer in (a)
My son's answer was Group M is the group with things made out of two more materials.

                        Hi smartmummy,

                        Your child’s answer is :
Group M is the group with things made out of one or more materials (then teacher’s arrow).

So I guess the teacher is looking for :-
Group M is the group of things made out of one or more materials while Ping Pong Ball is made out of only one material.

My suggested (but lenghty) answer would be:
The items are grouped according to the number of materials they are made out of. The things in Group M is made out of one or more materials while Ping Pong ball is made out of only one material. Therefore, it is grouped wrongly.

Hope to see other’s verification on my suggested answers.

                        Thank you.
