Chinese Assessment Books

DD1's Chinese T has been throwing them with printed worksheet to be done almost everyday since last week. Topics by topics and with the 词语 list given to them. I was not feeling too well for the last 2 days :sick: so din check her work ..but found \"treaure\" when I asked for a look this morning! :evil: :evil:

I told DD1,\" I know where your Chinese T get these worksheets from! I seen them before!\" She was like,\" :shock: Mummy, these are not in my assessment books at home leh, you clever lor!\"

每课一练强化练习 from Victoria Publications Pte Ltd. The standard of the worksheet is quite comprehensive but the 理解问题 passage is quite challenging and I saw DD1 making mistakes but din want to correct her as it was the rushing morning hour to school

For the 词语 list is none other than the one from SAP Group Pte Ltd

Guess the Chinese Teacher is making every effort to get the children to do up the revision starting last week :celebrate: :celebrate: as it covers the whole year topics!

FYI, we didn’t do any single CL Assessment book as I view those worksheets given by the school are sufficient to cover for the exam.

We will just zoom into top school papers one or two days before the normal exam for SA1 or SA2 except this Big Exam we started earlier on those papers.

Perhaps this is the reason that we can focus more than 50% of time on Maths follow by next the subject Science.

Juz curious; Which school is your DD in?

Hi champion,

My daughter in P1 has been given quite a bit of worksheets as revision recently. As for that CL assessment by Victoria you mentioned, it’s on my ‘must-buy’ list for both my kids. It has the sections found in exam papers. The CL handbook published by SAP was recommended by my friend…it has hanyu pinyin and also sentences (zao4 ju4). But hesitating whether to get for P6 now. I have P5 booklets and using them to compile the hanyu pinyin mistakes he always makes.

Well my daughter has used the P1 version of this same composition book.

Since I am am Indian whose daughter is learning mandarin, i have no clue how good the book is..

But I will ask my daughters home tutor about this

hope some other KS mummy can shed light on the advantages of this book..
