Childcare increase price again

Not just cc, kindergarten also increase, some increase to almost 30%, e young is my income never increased 30%

hopefully goverment will increase the grant too…

I’m lucky then that my DD’s childcare fees remained status quo since she joined at 2.5yrs, it’s been 3 years now. The centre’s increased fees over the years apply to newly joined kids only, who are paying $100 more than mine.

increase grant also no use, the CC will increase the fees! its inter-linked!

Actually I hope the grants keep pace with the eventual increase in CC fees… Govt should help the parents more if they want fertility rates to rebound.
Currently, my son’s CC is a new set-up and we are lucky to lock in a 20% discount for 12 full months, which certainly makes it easier on our pockets. No idea how fees will look like in a year’s time given the inflation in Singapore - rents, food etc. -

Hi Enbin, the new childcare centre is a Cherie Hearts, somewhere in between Ang Mo Kio and Bishan/Thomson. Not sure if their 20% promotion is still available now, but you can check out their website http://www.cherieheartsnurtureloft.com.sg/about.html

Ahh.. I went there before. Its at the industrial area near to Sin ming LTA. Its about the same at First Centre in Serangoon/Yio Chu Kang area. -

may i know what will you do if this kinda situation happens to you…
My #1 has been in his CC since he was 18months and i have been ferrying him thru and fro from sch via cab because i have to bring my #2 along… everyday thru and fro $12. but because of the price increase of the cab fare, lets make it $15 per trip x 20days = $300.
recently the school send us a letter to inform all parents that there will be an increase of school fees… from initially of $680 to $730.
Initially i wanted to enroll my #2 to the same school, but now with the school fee increment. I dont know if i wanna change to another school "if i can find one…" keep them both at home "i have to give up my part time job".
