        Hi,bigmama.

My child is in P1 this year. I fibd the school not bad. IMO, school distance from home is important eso. for lower primary.
If the distance is too far, have to wake up really early.

        cheers.

Hi, I have registered my boy under P2CS this year though we stayed in Jurong. Would appreciate if you could share with us more information on the school's programs etc... Would like to know more about BTPS.

We understand that the school produces quite a number of GEP students each year and their PSLE results have been above national average.

How about their teachers? Their CCAs etc?

          Thank you.

                  Hi Bigmama,

BTPS was our first choice, but I had some misgivings a few months ago and considered transferring DS1. But now, i can say that both DH and I are satisfied with the school and we will also be sending ds2 to BTPS. Their maths, english and science standards are good with activities that allow students to show their strengths; the MT is on the weak side, but this also means that it’s something that we can do on our own at our own pace.

The school has a rather nurturing environment and the children are generally happy and lively. The few issues I had, I was able to bring up with the school and things were handled well. DS was recently bullied on the school bus but it was resolved quickly with help from an older boy who took him to the VP (a very calm man). During the school events, the general atmosphere was one of fun, tolerant of childishness and creativity, and the children has a certain amount of autonomy. Most of all, I feel the school tolerates mistakes as part of learning. E.g events are not pitch-perfect, but clearly are genuinely done by the students who were enthusiastic about it. It’s not a place where the adults completely take over so that the students will have perfect "products" to show visitors.

If you have a child who is creative and have a strong personality, it is an especially good fit.

Does anyone know what is the school bus pick up time from Hillview?
Am worry about the timing. And also the BAFS care since both myself and my husband are working.

DS only takes schoolbus home after school so I"m not sure about the exact pick up time in the morning. The estimated time for next year for Hillview is between 6.30am to 6.50am.
