ALgebra:
2009 MA PSLE was hardest. 2010 MA PSLE was easiest. 2011 MA PSLE in the middle.
These are the answers for the 2011 MA PSLE Paper 2 from top students in my school [including me] (97 - 100 marks) Method used for most of the questions was ALGEBRA.
20,17,72,70,125,20%,22,42,357*(NOT 351!!!!),5/9,180m2,154,26,13,8,5,56,119,199,17,$4576,$150
*Asking for chairs at the end check-> 357 Γ· 7(chairs in each row after rearrange) = exactly 51 rows at last
They said there was extra 12 rows so in the beginning, there were (51-12=39) rows of 9. 351 is the no. of chairs in the beginning!
Hi Algebra,
Roughly what are the questions leading to your answers 42, 13, 8 and 5?
Qns. to note.
- MA Paper 1 Q14. option (1)
- MA Paper 1 Q30. 4.8
-----
Tip: What is done is already done, don't cry over spilt milk.
For the one with answer 42, not sure.
The one 13 and 8
Its the one saying
A fruit stall sells its pear at 70 cents and apples at 40 cents.
Sally bought some pears and Tom bought some apples.
Sally spent $1.10 more than Tom but had 7 less fruits than him.
a) How many pears did Sally buy?
b) How much did Tom spend?
For the one with answer as 5, it goes,
Alex and Benny and running around a track measuring 400m.
Alex travels at 190m/min, 25m/min faster than Benny.
If Alex is faster than Benny by 300m, how many COMPLETE rounds have he completed by that time? -

What I meant was that my ds strength is mathematics, so I was happy upon seeing him so confident, so I decided to just share my good news with you people. Please be less sensitive. No criticism pls ._.
Congratulations! If I were u, I would b proud of my child as well. My DD might not get full marks, but I m just as proud to know that she has done relatively well in the Math exam, based on the answers given.
:thankyou: :udawoman: wish yr DD will pass the national examination with flying colours :xedfingers:
It's quite a coincidence that our surnames are the same, isn't it? I guess that's why our thinking are similar:snuggles:
