      Hi,

I feel that ICR is still much better than LCentral. ICR is more comprehensive, better established.
Hi is there anything in ICR which is not covered by LC? I went to see LC material and found them comprehensive..

For those living near Sembawang, there is a home based phonics class taught by a teacher who used to teach in ICL and some international schools.

My gal has been attending her class for more than 2 months (K1 level), and she enjoyed her class. She bring her worksheets home everytime and I like the simple materials that are used (eg, short vowel A & E, long vowel A & E etc). She is also given short poems which (somehow) she likes to read over and over again. Hardly any homework to bring home (which I like ! 🙂 though we are supposed to revise the worksheets at home and read (any) story books to cultivate the love of reading.

She is currently looking for students to start new N2 class next year.

I am unable to give differences between the way she teach and ICL's since my gal has not attended ICL before.

Are my 3-year old son suitable to take phonics class? We have trained him to read by memorising the words.. I think this is the way we are being trained in our school days...so is Phonics classes useful?

definitely, i think now is the chance to explore a new way of learning. there are enrichment centres in Singapore that provide good phonic class.

                      Dear all,

There are so many english enrichment classes, making it very difficult to make choices. Perhaps parents with kids in enrichment classes, please share with us what your kids do in classes so that the rest of us can make an informed decision. If you can scan your kids' worksheet and share with us, even better! 😄
