What will be the A* mark for Math?? Very afraid I can't get A* for Math because I minus at least 5 marks already!!!

Chatterbox, don't give yourself unnecessary pressure - no one will know the cut-off for A* and only SEAB will know after they have marked and computed all candidates' raw score for Maths. So don't worry over something beyond your control now.

Time for you to relax and go to bed soon. Try your best for the remaining papers!

Actually for chinese. for paper 2, they will only be tested on words on the list that they are supposed to know right ?

DS depended on the PSLE 词语手册. It listed out all the P4 - P6 词语 learned. However, when it comes to the passage and compre, there is no such limitation / boundary.

True but if one can get full marks out of the MCQ for Chinese it will help a lot.
And that is the only part that we can definitely prepare for.
Lots of kids especially boys will not feel stress about exams and results. not at P6 age.

We should just let them be themselves and just push them when necessary.
No point adding extra stress on them as it's not going to help.

I know what you mean, my DS is just like that. He's still having his rest and play time with his sis, read newspaper leisurely, have tea and meal breaks, go find snacks........so relax that his dad can't quite \"tahan\". I think I've adopted the attitude that if he is relaxed during this PSLE, his score should reflect his \"true\" capability (not \"push\" beyond). Basing on this score to decide his sec sch should be less worrisome than \"pushing\" him beyond his capabilities for PSLE and then he cannot cope with the sec sch he got into later.

Tisha, that's the same situation in my home! :scared: only difference is that I was on FB trying to de-stress! All the best to our ds and hope they will be able to rise to the occasion and make us proud.

:hi5: R u talking abt ur DS or my DS? only in this case DH is :imcool: and I'm the one :stompfeet: So to maintain domestic harmony I'm logging on to the KSP as much as possible today. 😂
I just told DS that I read on KSP that a lot of kids are feeling so stressed due to PSLE, and he tell me 'I'm also stress, what makes u think I'm not?\" with such a poker face that I burst out laughing.
But on a more serious not, parents of sensitive kids really seem to be having a tough time to manage their kids' emotions.
Good Luck to all for the next 2/3 exams. :rahrah:
Just stop thinking about the math paper lah.
It's been almost 3 days already.
Still got 2 or 3 more papers coming in less than 12 hours.

All the best tomorrow.
Sleep well and tomorrow will be a better day.

That sounds like my son too. My son's favourite is super long toilet breaks - where I suspect he takes a book to read - then hides it under his shirt as he comes out - 😆 .

I also agree with you - its better for him to seek his true capability - then he can continue to learn well in Sec School. I know my son is interested in learning - he has a positiive attitude - he is just not caught up in this performance in exam hype yet.

Good luck to everyone on the remaining subjects.

Ms Tay - good luck for your son to get into RI.

RI is not the only top school....

It might be the top school in terms of A-level results (in Singapore)...
but you must know that there are other top schools such as ACS(I) which is one of the top schools in the world for its IB results(it does not have A-level which is why it is kinda forgotten)...it almost has 50% of the perfect scorers around the world...

There are many good schools in SG - one of the good points of our education system. Even neighbourhood schools are providing good education.

Many of us have been reading about Ms Tay's ds journey on the dsa path. He is obviously a bright boy who has a dream - and so some of us find ourseleves 'rooting' for our 'ksp friends' and their children's dream. 😄

Hence the good wishes - for him as well as all the other children on this forum. (and beyond) - for them to fulfill their dreams at this point or if they do not, for them to learn enough and to persevere to succeed at some stage.
