None of them. All above 2km.

Then, you may like to choose a school that is most easily accessible from your house.

In terms of results, I would say they are rather close to one another.

Distance is not a problem as the schools are quite near my workplace.

I am worn between River Valley Primary and Radin Mas. Heard that Radin Mas is quite good but the prinicpal left.

Yes, this is the first PSLE under the new principal.

If you want your child to learn Chinese, for instance, at a higher level, RVPS may be the school for you. RMPS is not that strong in Chinese.

U may wish to consider registering yr ds at the sch which is closest to yr dd's sch so u can send both of them to sch.

Also u may want to find out whether the sch which u intend to register yr ds has cca bus otherwise it will be a big headache for u, if the sch does not hv cca bus to send yr ds home.

Anyone could share their comments on Maris Stella High? I know it's a popular sch & read positive reviews from parents whose kids are there...but lately heard from a teacher friend that the sch is not as good as before...teachers not so strong...hmmm, need to verify that šŸ˜„

Hi all, need your valuable advice.

My son is entering Primary School in 2013. My husband is an old boy from Catholic High and I am from Nanyang Primary. We have decided that my girl (entering 2015) will go to Nanyang. However, we have yet to decide school for my my son. Distance and logistic are not an issue. Which would you pick?

If you like the idea of an affiliated secondary school, then Catholic High.

If your son is capable of working hard and doesn't mind being pushed to excel, NYPS would be good. They have a track record of producing very good PSLE results.

                    Hi all,

I am new to this forum, have yet to explore the other pages. Anyway hope the knowledgeable mummies can give me some suggestions as to which school to register for my boy next year šŸ™‚

We are eligible to register in phases 2A2 for Pei Hwa and Henry Park. In terms of distance, we are not far from both as we are staying at Dover. In terms of academic performance, both schools are on par, I think. So what else should I look out for when I make my decision?

I would choose NYPS since it is a co-ed school, hence both your children can attend the same school.
It could also be \"added insurance\" for your daughter since she will only register in 2014. No one is absolutely certain that the registration process will stay the same in 2 years' time. What if there are changes to the process, e.g. capped % Phase 2A vacancies? Then your daughter would be safer in the earlier Phase 1.

If you are thinking of affiliated sec, Catholic High will be the choice. If you are looking in terms of results of what the school produces, NYPS has a better track record, but your kid must be willing to work hard in there and parents need to be more hands-on in monitoring as well.

For ease and convenience, it is usually better to place kids in same sch. However, I would emphasize on choice to be dependent on your assessment of your kid and which sch do you think will cater to his needs / benefit him more.
