Hi Mummies, Any working mum here around raffles place? I am likely to pop in a month; and I am desparately looking for places where i can express during the working hours. Unfortunately my work place doesnt have one and I am finding places. Please please advise. Many Thanks.

Hi. Do you intend to put your kid at an infant care centre? Some infant care centres let breastfeeding mommies express milk at the infant care or feed baby there during lunchtime. Perhaps you can explore these avenues if you intend to put your child at infant care.

Thanks ladies! I have got another month to find alternatives...will keep trying.
Or express using hand? Then don't need power point.

Or get a pump that does not need the power point. I use the medela freestyle. I love it!! I walk around the house and do stuff while pumping, cos it is also hands free! Just need to charge it up. And you can pump 3 to 4 times before you need to charge it again.

By the way, I found this link for the top 10 breastfeeding rooms in Singapore. http://www.babycenter.com.sg/baby/breastfeeding/top_10_nursing_rooms/

              Hi,

Any breastfeeding mummies experienced post pregnancy hair fall???

It is happening to me now. Although I had it after my DS1, it was not as bad as now with DS2 although it lasted for almost a year. I spoke to my gynae but was told that it's normal and I should just ride it out. The other suggestion she gave was to take multi-vit with iron.

Any other suggestion would be appreciated.

              MTIA 😄

I did. It always started at about 3months postpartum and lasted about 3 months. I didn’t worry too much about it. Saw it as more of a cleaning problem (hairballs!) than health problem. What I understand is that during pregnancy, the hair that would normally be shed on a daily basis doesn’t get shed (that’s why pregnant women get thicker hair). But once the pregnancy hormones wear off, all that hair finally gets to be freed from the confines of your scalp. It looks like a lot coz it’s a backlog of 9 months! But once your scalp has cleared it’s backlog, then it’s back to the normal hair cycle again. Try to think of it as your scalp clearing out the weeds to make way for new growth!

                        Hi mummies,

Am thinking of accompanying DH to China. He is going there for work purpose. I am not bringing my baby.

I understand there is some restrictions in transporting expressed milk via return flight.

Can any mummies share how did you deal with this situation when overseas. Do you throw away the expressed milk??? Seems like such a waste

                        Any advice or suggestions???
