Hi All,

Congratulations to all parents whose kids are selected for e 2nd round. :rahrah:
Can't help envying those kids who are recognized by their schools as HA materials once they're selected for 2nd round.

My elder DS did his in 2009. He did not clear e 2nd round. Natually, he stayed on in his school. Unfortunately, DS' school doesn't believe in streaming its students. We waited till this year (P5), he's finally streamed and bless with better teachers and supplementary classes.

My younger DS received e letter from school to go for e 2nd round today. I was very hopeful when it was my elder DS' turn, always have high hopes of him. Between e 2 brothers, he's e smarter one. This time, I'm keeping my cool and not going to have any high expectation from younger DS.

Thanks for your advice :salute: ! Understand what you mean. Already managed expectations. As you can see, some of us do not expect them to even get through round 1. The present is definitely for us to keep...as a fond memory or as a reminder that anything is possible. Haha

Thanks for your advice :salute: ! Understand what you mean. Already managed expectations. As you can see, some of us do not expect them to even get through round 1. The present is definitely for us to keep...as a fond memory or as a reminder that anything is possible. Haha

Ha ha ha....just to share. Initially you dun expect them to clear round 1, but after they clear, the 'secret' hope to clear round 2 will just creep in.....I went through that twice despite knowing very well that my 2 kids are not the GEP material. :oops: But nevertheless, yes, it's a fond memory and a milestone for them.
Encourage the kids, fuel them with hope that anything is possible :snuggles: ....but remember to prepare them mentally :love:
