      surprise its a mynmar, they r quite good at making up stories n getting their way, gone are the days when they were known for being hardworking and honest.

      It is true that MOM does not recognise th agents contract. I once wanted to blaklist a indon maid some years back that abused my girl.
      She was finally left at the agent who wanted to transfer her but the officr at MOM mention that if she was transfered they will stop her immdiately. I did ask what if the employer needed the maid, the offier mentionedd that thy will inform the current employer.

            ksi:
            Personally I feel that we are culturally quite different from the Indos and Pinoys so if the twain never meet especially living under the same roof, tough to have a resolution

            as in all forms of communication & relationship, it requires 2 'involved parties'...if I may borrow an old adage \"it takes 2 hands to clap\"....yes we are definitely culturally different...we were raised differently, we have different values & belief....both parties must be willingly to recognize and accept these diversities..

                Just wondering;

                The 3 MOM officers who came down to take the maid away…do they have maids themselves?
                Would they like it if 3 other MOM officers came and give them the same treatment when they have problems with their own maids …?
                What if their parents’ maids were the ones who wrote in to MOM and they are sent to go take the maids away from their own parents?

                  Each time I read any news about maid, I really get riled up.

                  I encouraged a maidless family. Change your mind set and living style and things will fall into places with determination. (I did)

                  Whats the point of having maids when all odds are against you. What you are seeking is only help and it comes with a hefty price.
                  Ask yourself if all that you hear, see and experienced is worth it.
