the one i will get my friend to order for me can fit in the 2b pencils( the blue 2B we used to used in primary and secondary). The one in the link is slightly ex considering $3 to $4 inclusive of shipping but at least there are designs and i dun have to worry my girl ones will mix up with other children but as a kiasu mummy i will still paste a name sticker which i got from free from Australian website when i placed an order for the iron on name sticker. the stickers i got for free are very slim and long about 3cm x0.3cm. plan to stick on every pencil and pencil cap. as for extender, i might get later if they need to use 2b pencils cos 2b pencils more ex, those normal pencils with cartoons i bought 3boxes (100 each) from Thailand at $9.90 to use as birthday favour and for my children to do writing at home. guess will not use to the last bit loh.
Maybe i will make a trip down to Daiso and popular to take a look.
By the way want to ask for poster colour, can we actually get the faber castle one that says coloured pencil with poster colour? it is actually coloured pencils but i think if you use water to dab on the paper after you colour, it will look like paint. anyone used that before and what is the verdict? -
hi lakspur,
you mean watercolour pencils isit? my kids use that in their art class, dab water and it becomes like smudgy and the colour spread nicely.
Figure you can get that, but it’s pricier and not sure if it’s worth the money becos I don’t think teacher will be asking them to do water colours in school. so far it’s just colouring. -

hi hquek, yest that is the one i am talking about cos that time popular has sales , the price of the watercolour pencils the same price as the 24 or 36 colour pencils( cant remember which one) about $11 so i was wondering if they need to use water colour paint in school,i tot if needed, when the next sales come along then i will buy. but since no need, then the faber castle 36 colour pencils will do then.hi lakspur,

Just checked last night. There are 12 caps per pack, cost $1.95. I have seen this available in both Isetan and Popular.
I think the ones at Popular and Isetan are cheaper than that. It comes in 2 rows, so I think there should be at least 10 caps in total. These are the transparent types in different colours. Best is that they also have a sticker name tag for you to paste on the cap... although it hasn't stopped my DD from losing them nonetheless.hquek:
looks a bit like but the ones I see are translucent. Anyway, pencil caps can act as extenders. but proper extenders may be required if you want to use to the very last bit possible.
As a mark, the ones in daiso are about $2 for 4 pcs of caps.

hi larkspur,
if you want something very tough, try isetan. the pokemon caps (there may be girl types ones) seem fairly tough. but have to pay for quality…I think it cost about $5 for 4 caps. -
hquek:
but $5 for 4 pieces a bit ex . I see if my fren can help to buy the one she bought from online as it is about $3 for 4 pieces the last time she bought and the quality very good. Shall check with her.hi larkspur,

Maybe not as nice as those that you have in mind, but they are made in Japan (I think cos' everything on the packaging is written in Japanese)... so quality should be ok? At the same time, for the first time, I saw some opaque ones (with different colours and even a bit of shimmer). Also same price, 12 caps for $1.95. As DD tends to lose her things, I don't mind getting cheaper ones for her... There are some others that are metalic. I think $2+ for 4 caps.
