ya, surrounding pple, rich or poor, always eye on you when u have some sort of windfall. Even when we sold our HDB and make a few 10K (maket was bad then), still can attract unwanted attention.

When my colleague won toto...also a few 10K....immediately someone came and ask for a loan!!

if i already have $1m in the kitty, i wouldn’t mind taking up a loan to get a slightly bigger property for rental ie around 1.6m. this should be able to get a 2-bedder in a pretty decent location which should hopefully generate a decent income flow to cover the various costs.

If i have 1m, i will take my family for a all-round check up in the hospital as i think that HEALTH come first. The remaining money will end up in a pro. Piano teacher for my DD/DS(future---im just a student) for them to learn to their best, travelling with my dearest family members, buy a small but comfortable room and lastly the remaining money, i will support some Africa child (room, food, water etc.) 😄

comprehensive health check at private clinics including all sorts of test and scan cost only around $800/pax

you don't need to be millionaire to do that 😉 😉

If I have 1 mil now, I will take my job even more leisurely...

:rahrah: I always imagine that if I strike 1MM lottery, I would either put in the bank/ invest it. I will continue to work but it is to past time. I think that will change alot of mindset and thinking while at work. You probably put in even more effort and follow your passion eg. challenge status quo more as you are no longer worried about job security.

But.... I don't buy big sweep and rarely gamble so tough to win 1MM.
