............... Steve Jobs was born at the right place, at the right time. Even he himself admitted that. If you look at the timing, the launch of iPhones, iPods, iPads, would not have been so successful had it not been the rise of china and the businesses who are willing to manufacture them at such low cost, which then passed on to the consumer. Remember the days when it costs thousands to own a mac? My respect of him started since the early years of Apple, not since he launched the 'i' products.

........... I tend to believe that he is more of a control freak. .......

as a supplier to Apple and being part of the supply chain for the Apple products, we never had it easy and the margin is extremely thin; if one item is scrapped at the end of the production line, you need the profit margin from the next 50 pieces to cover the loss of that scrapped piece!

some of the spec demanded is unnecessary as far as manufacturing is concerned. Talk to any of our team involved in manufacturing Apple parts and our competitors and they will tell you how they \"curse\" the product. Apple would never be that successful if there is no China. There have been reports of workers committing suicide in China factory ....... just think a little about it, but don't think too much about it
