My podiatrist says that children only develop their arches by about 6 or 7, i.e. It could still be normal for children at 5 to be flat-footed. (I have collapsed arches, and she told me to watch my 6 year old for flat-footedness in the future).

But if you’d like to treat it early, there are exercises your son can do to strengthen the muscles in the foot, and special footwear he can get. Although I think it’s quite hard to get orthtic footwear for such small kids (the place where I get my shoes only carries a very limited range of shoes).

We always buy Arena but will wait for 20-30% sale which is quite often.

Would recommend arena too quite durable. Buying one expensive one is better than buying multiple cheap one that spoils fast.

New online gymnastics apparatus and apparel store started by 2 mothers to support and help develop the gymnastics discipline in Singapore and hopefully to spread across regionally.

Check us out in the Directories listing for Lil Gym.

Now we don’t have to pay high shipping costs buying gymnastics equipment from overseas because you can get them locally, shipped free of charge .

Enquiries on overseas shipping are also welcomed.
