        Hi Buds,

R u familiar withe the Montessori class offered at BRMCK? Are they authentic? With relevant Montessori materials esp Math?

Or better to send kid to a Montessori cc?

        thx
        PMed U.

As a basic guideline, Montessori Education is not just about academics.
It's not just abt the Phonics... Maths... Grammar... no.. no.. it is not!
A true Montessori approach is NEVER just about what is being taught
or how long a subject is taught. This is a misconception many parents
make. If one just wants the child to be enrolled in a Montessori school
just for the academics then in my opinion it is not for the right reasons.
Montessori Education is ideal for one who is looking for a holistic
education where a non-threatening environment brings out the
        best in our children.

          Thank you Bud.

Yes, agree with u entirely. tat’s why bought in2 the idea of sending child to a montessori programme.

H/w as understand, different sch may offer diff curriculum depending on the teachers/materials used. That’s why my question on authenticity.

if someone could help. m really new to the montessori learning.

                Hi there,

My boy just promoted to K1 this year and I’m thing of starting him on some pre-school enrichment program. I’m pondering bt MPM, CMA & Math Monkey. Had also browse thru this thread and seems most had positive comments about MPM.
As far as I know, MPM - uses modal approach/ problem solving technique which is in the MOE syllabus. CMA - Abacus/mental training, Math Monkey (needed some advice on this)
Among these 3, which would be most approriate to prepare my K1 to primary school? Please share…thanks

For pre-schooler, suggest CMA or any abacus programme which will enhance their addition, multiplication and numbers skills. For P3 and above, go to Sakamoto Method enrichment to help them ace their maths in PSLE :).

                    Hi parents…

my pre-schoolers attend a MMI-based pre-school & Montessori Math is included in their curriculum.

Thinking of sending them to MPM for Math enrichment so that they can have a stronger foundation when they enter Pri sch.

Just wondering if both are about the same concept then it would be unnecessary. Please kindly share with me.

                    Thank U…
