actually i realise there are a lot of different kind of ergonomic tables and chairs around other then from kinder fun and ergo works. Recently i come across one shop call Jarrons & co and i bought one erognomic table from them at less than $550, design vary slightly from kinderfun but material wise pine wood and can slanted the table. One fren mummy even bought one ergonomic table for less than $500

      Hi

any feedback about the tables? Am keen to get it too. How's the mechanism? Is it as smooth and easy to adjust as kinderfun and crosscom?

i have placed an order and it is still on the sea. the shop told me the table will reach singapore in another 1 week plus and i should be able to get the table earliest first week of Nov. It takes about 1 to 2 months after i placed an order. but previously i went to the shop to look at the sample table and the mechnism is more like you adjust your own height with the latch. not like the kind u see in kinderfun where you can slide or tilt up and down due to gas pump.the one from jarron more manual which i prefer cos manual one will last longer

Went to jarrons day unfortunately the staff had great trouble trying to adjust the table and chair height, seems to me they aren’t easy to operate if even the person selling it cannot convince me about its mechanism.

Have decided to go for cross com in the end. It looked like it can last a long long time. Aesthetically it looked the most pleasing to me and I love how you can adjust the seat pad in and out. This is unique to cross com.

Hi there I went jarrons last week too. The boss spent a long time explaining the chairs n tables to me. It seems fairly easy to adjust thou I have not tried it myself. Me haven check out kinderfun n crosscom. Will chk it out this weekend. Hopefully I can cm to a decision real soon. Hv to say that jarrons pricing is quite attractive.

For everything we want to buy, my hubby always say we must try out the mechanism ourselves to gauge the ease of use and functionality. So we went to all 3 shops and he tried to adjust all the tables and chairs. His favourite table is kinder which uses air pressure, and he likes the crosscom chair. But between the 2 I prefer the look of the latter so I decided to go for that. Jarrons was selling kettler, hubby says it's the least user friendly of all, but of cos it's all about the affordability if u choose this. And I reckon you won't need to adjust the table and chair very often.

            Goodluck in your hunt!

To me we dun need to adjust the height of the table all the time, it is not as if our children will grow 5 cm every month that we need to adjust the tabl every month. the most we adjust the height of the tabel every 1 to 2years or according to our children height. If we buy ergonomic table, we will of course tilt the or adjust the table , if not might as well go to ikea to get a $99 table which will just do. I have personally gone down the shop and look and have a feel on adjust the table. Of course it not like kinderfun or crosscom which the movable part is like sliding up and down easily. The one at jarrons we as a parent have to shift the groove ourselves and adjust according. Different parents have different expectation that is all i can say. Some people would not mind buying a table and chair for a few thousands dollars, but to me as long as it serve its functionality and easily to use, i dun mind. Sometimes the more ex does not meant it is necessary good, a lot still has to do with good posture. My office have ergonomic tables and chairs for every staff and the chair itself cost nearly to $2k per chair but becos most of us dun really lean against the chair, we still have back problem at times.

For those who are interested in getting Kinderfun tables, there is an early bird promotion from 11-20 Nov, buy a desk and get a royce kinder chair free. I think it's limited to 1st 20 or 30 sets. Do call and ask if you are going there towards later part of promotion period. SPI and Lego bags are also on sale. I just got mine. 😉
