Tomorrow is another siong day. It is not too late for parents to find out which is their DS/DD's marking centre.
No ginseng, cushion also can; the older markers sure to appreciate. -

Oops! Did I confuse you? Sorry, I was just kidding. The school would never reveal such details. It's all hush hush.

But if u r interested, u can recognize a marking centre if u see padlocks at the gate! -
Are the teachers paid extra to mark the scripts ?
Sounds like quite a miserable 4 days.
Can’t even have unlimited supply of coffee and snacks. -

Ummmm… the whole teaching force is deployed to mark hah? Or only a part? If a part… how big a part? 10%… 20%…?

I would say...about 90% or more of the teachers deployed to mark. Only a few lucky ones who have duties in their schools are excused. They need all the teachers avail becos of extra positions, like checkers, supervisors, etc, plus question specialization. Also, don't forget it is 2 markers per question.Ummmm... the whole teaching force is deployed to mark hah? Or only a part? If a part... how big a part? 10%... 20%...?

I taught at a JC before. The GCE 'A' Levels exams scripts for most of the subjects were sent overseas for marking. However, my colleagues (MT teachers), who were deployed to mark the Mother Tongue exam scripts, were paid for marking, if I don't remember wrongly. Maybe, the rules have changed since then, which was quite many years ago...
