I taught at a JC before. The GCE 'A' Levels exams scripts for most of the subjects were sent overseas for marking. However, my colleagues (MT teachers), who were deployed to mark the Mother Tongue exam scripts, were paid for marking, if I don't remember wrongly. Maybe, the rules have changed since then, which was quite many years ago...[/quote]JC - paid; secondary - also paid; but primary - the markers are not paid. All from civil service, but totally different treatment.

According to my ds' tutor

She says that this yr the t- score for science will be lower than last yr
as majority of the cohorts did well .( she is one of the marking teacher ) :roll:

Doesn't really matter right ?
Aggregate down across the board mean COP for all schools will be down across the board too.
Unless you want to compare t scores with previous years which is rather meaningless anyway.
