but mainly becos of projects discussions/ role plays being added or cancelled.
esp the period near EOY exams/common tests, more irregularities expected.......
Different leh ... in DHS like you mention the canceling & what not were due to students own planning in their project discussion.
But I was referring to class planned by the school. If you gonna cancel a class, why just can;t they inform the students in advance. Furthermore, if wanna have an extra class why inform only on the day itself ?
Well, what I am trying to say is, it is not so smooth sailing anymore like in Primary school where everyone knows what's going on ...
But overall, other than that, NJC is quite ok, students there are happy ...
Sometimes, extra lessons are informed one/ few days beforehand,
tough ever encountered make up lessons and consultations being cancelled last minute......but it 's understandable..... -

69.5 marks,
but got 2.8 instead of 3.6 -

understand that for NYGH, there is a misc fees of $750 per yr,
If you score in the 260s/270s, you should qualify for EESIS which knocks off $2400 per annum from your school fees. You would still need to top up the difference in the school fees as well as misc fees though.
how abt RGS , what is est misc fees or other material fees per yr ??
( my niece din answer this Q of mine, as she says it's immaterial.....or maybe she din even bother :roll: ) -

that 's y, the pupils often ask their teachers whether their marks are high A or low A ,
when they are given their CA1 n CA2 grades, as it will affect their final grades...... -

Then again, total percentage for all subjects may also not be reflection of a student's ability.
Just like in PSLE, all 4 subject are of equal weightage. So a student must be good in ALL the 4 subjetcs. If you are weak in any one of the subjects, you virtually kiss goodbye to your dream school.
But in O level is different ... you only need to be good in 1 language plus another 5 subjects ... So you'll find some students not doing well in PSLE but they ace in O Level ... because they may not take the subjects they were weak in in PSLE ... -

But their timetable rather weird....go by 10 days frame,
Last yr when gal in yr 1, some days recess was very early,
while some days very late, they were almost famished..... :roll:

while some days very late, they were almost famished..... :roll:[/quote]Quite a few secondary schools use the 10 day cycle, or two week timetable. Guess it gives them more flexibility in terms of hours. Time tables also change in semesters.

For the recess timing, prob becos they dun wanna to have break in between
subjects......
Talking abt changes in diff semesters, think there was 1 semester
whereby they had to reprint their timetable every few days before they settled down for the last one.....
