      @chschs

      Not sure about 220, those years before my DS is 225.

      My DS first batch to kanna the 230, outside student is 247.

      This years P5 or next year’s P6 will be 240 because they will be the first batch of IP.

        Hi everyone, thanks very much for the kind advice

        @chschs - want to choose CHS as i m from its "sister school" back then, st nicks. Just thought that this family of schools are well rounded in academic and character development, the latter being the most important.

        Husband is an alumni of maha bodhi school actually, but probably when compared to CHS, would pale. CHS ticks all the boxes in my opinion. But you are right, if have to empty savings then its rather silly. The issue here is if we move to bishan, we do not intend to sell out our current place, hence the stretch.

        will have to reconsider this in great detail. such a headache even at this stage, not sure if i can take the stress of the "gamble".

          Hi everyone, my son will be in P1 next year. Any CHS mummy here?

          Just received the orientation/ school information and booklist for next year. Is it necessary to buy all the optional items?

            Hi bluebear, welcome to CHS! Do not buy the optional items, as most likely they will not be used by the teachers in class. Perhaps you can check with the teachers during orientation before buying them. Meanwhile, enjoy and have fun at CHS!!!

              My son is going into Primary 1 next year, dunno if there is any school bus going into Punggol Area and does anybody know if we need to purchase the MPH Maths Textbook listed as optional? since there appears to be no other Maths Text book on the booklist

                CHS is using her own Math textbooks & workbooks (ATM), which can only be purchased thru the teachers when term starts. You can buy the optional textbooks to revise with your child at home, if you wish to. Perhaps you can check with the teachers first, as you can buy these items from the bookshop any time when term starts.

                  Thanks for the info, I have already taken out the optional items from the booklist order form as can buy them later if needed. Dun wanna crowd the small flat with unused books. Wonder if it will be very crowded to buy books and uniform at the sch bookstore during orientation day..or can parents go into the bookstore another day to purchase the required items for P1?

You can call the bookshop to check if the books and school uniforms are already available there. You can buy them before, during or after orientation, if you want to avoid the crowd. You can also buy the items when term starts but be prepared for the long queue at the bookshop.

                    Yes, parents can go into the school premise to buy the stuffs for their kids during school hours. The school is quite receptive to the idea of parents coming into the school premise to visit their kiddos (eg. during recess), especially during the first week of the academic year.

                        .
                        Can always buy the uniforms from BiBi/Baba. Easier than during orientation?
