      Hi,

Thanks for your input. So far, many parents whose DD are in SMPS said the same things, dedicated teachers with right amt of homework and kids generally enjoy school ( which i think is v v impt).

Do you happen to know the cut off pt for St Margs (sec) for SMPS and non -affiliated school?

Hi, i m new to this thread and would like to find out more abt SMPS as my daughter is 5 this year and is gg to reg for P1 next yr. Are there alot of homework in SMPS and how do existing parents whose daughters are already studying in SMPS feel abt the school, ie cirriculum, schoolwork, cca, teachers etc..... I am drawn to SMPS as its a christian based school and the after school day care that the school provides. Can any kind mummy/ daddy outside share about your experience with the school? thanks!

Both my girls are in SMPS, P5 & P3. Both are enjoying school 😄 the teachers are passionate and patient. The school is very family oriented..

The school workload is ok.. usually for lower primary, not much homework.. only until P4 onwards, they are more but still manageable imo..

But i thot their academic 'standard' has increased, esp the Math, compared to some school, it's quite tough but good in preparation for PSLE..

Excellent choice of school to goto!! Good luck 😄

Good to hear that...looking forward to next year! DD will be going there next year P1...

looking forward to the orientation in Nov...

            Hi all,

Would like to check if anyone out there can advise on the average traffic condition along CTE between 6-7 am? Am staying at north , hence will be travelling via CTE to smps when school reopens in 2012.
Also will there normal jams along the orchard rd during the morning peak period?

            Thks!

Not sure about the jam on CTE. But there is no jam at Orchard Road in the morning.

BUT the jam may be at the school.

I’d like to know whether it is quick to drop children off at school in the morning. Should I allow much time to get from the bottom of Orchard Rd to the drop-off point at school? Many thanks to anyone who can advise.

My daughter starts in Patience in January.

Sorry to make you kancheong, to be fair, its not traffic jam, but very slow moving traffic. Quite a lot of girls come to school by car and its a "one lane, one way street"

It is pretty orderly, there are teachers and school staff at the front gate helping the girls to get off their cars so that their parents can drive off quickly. Just have to be patient and wait for your turn.

I am sure you will ease into the routine very quickly.
