Hi Brenda,

Thanks for reminding me about 寻梦, I must go buy this.

atan,
I also borrowed all the books from the library when I was a teenager, could not afford to buy back then.

Hi Tamarind,

Beside 卫斯理 series, I also like 原振侠 series. The novels like 天 人,迷路,灵椅 etc all are very interesting.

Hopefully can find all these books in 简体字。

Now that China is a big market, lots of Taiwan and HK books have been reprinted to simplified Chinese version.

I always wonder why DS cannot read traditional Chinese - remember we all were not taught traditional Chinese before but we can read despite that (I cannot write but can read - maybe can write the easy ones!)
Hi Pen88n,

In fact, DD is able to read certain traditional Chinese words (may be sometime she guess the possibility of the word) as she uses to borrow some Taiwan comics from NLB.

However, I still prefer her to read the simplified Chinese version in order not to get confuse.

Have search Dangdang, don't have this series in simplified Chinese yet.

Anyone has tried the new series from 倪匡, the 卫斯理武侠 series? Wonder how good it is? His latest venture into new arena......

Hi Pen88n,

Read some part from dangdang:

I may try to borrow some books when I visit the NLB next trip. 😂

I agree if one can write like that, it would guarantee lifetime royalty collection from books published but if one can write like this, there is no guarantee of A* in exams.

Why leh? Is it because by the time one finishes describing the scenario, time's up already so don't have time to go into the main plot of the essay? 😆

The succintness (is there such a word?) of the description is amazing. In the short paragraph posted by Brenda10, I can actually visualise and hear what the author was trying to express.
