          Banana Cake

3 metal tablespoons (heaped) of plain flour
3 metal tablespoons (heaped) of self-raising flour
          6 flat tablespoons of sugar
          250g butter
          6 eggs
2 large chopped bananas (very ripe)

          Melt butter into liquid.
          Beat egg whites till stiff.
Beat egg yolks with sugar till smooth and light yellow.
          Add liquid butter and beat.
Add flour 2 tablespoons at a time (1 plain + 1 self-raising). Mix with wooden spoon turning in ONE direction only. NEVER NEVER change the direction of turning. If you start clockwise, KEEP turning clockwise.
After all the flour is added, mix by turning the wooden spoon 350 times around the bowl.
Add in 2 large chopped bananas.
          Turn 50 times.
Fold in the egg whites. Respect the same direction of turning.
Pour mixture into HappyCall and bake for 25 minutes on SMALL-TO-MEDIUM fire.
Open the pan. Detach cake from sides and bottom. Close the pan. Flip over to brown the top. About 2 minutes.

            Roasted Garlic & Bacon Potatoes

            3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
            200g back bacon
            9 medium sized Holland Potatoes
            2 bulbs of garlic

            Peel and dice potatoes.
            Peel and slice garlic thin.
            Chop bacon into bits.
Mix all inside the HappyCall with 3 tablespoons of Olive Oil
Cook on small-medium fire for 10 minutes.
Flip the pan… another 10 minutes.
Open the pan. Turn the cubes around.
Cook on one side 10 minutes.
Flip and cook on the other 10 minutes.
No need to salt. Bacon is salty.

Timings are indicative. I cook by feel. Ya gotta feel your pan. Be as one with the force of your pan. Kekekekekeke!

            Voilà!

Both recipes need the 75mm. Banana cake has no place to rise in the 55mm pan. If in doubt, use SMALL fire. This pan burns easy.

Potatoes for a family of 6 needs 75mm pan.

                      Thanks for the recipes Chenonceau.

Question - can I use the recipes in an oven too? Or would I need to tweak them? For your banana cake, is there a reason for the precise stirring? What if I stirred it 326 times instead of 350 because I can't count? 😉

                        Hi Chenonceau,

The pics look good! What brand olive oil do you use or does it not matter?
