Both recipes need the 75mm. Banana cake has no place to rise in the 55mm pan. If in doubt, use SMALL fire. This pan burns easy.

Potatoes for a family of 6 needs 75mm pan.

              Thanks for the recipes Chenonceau.

Question - can I use the recipes in an oven too? Or would I need to tweak them? For your banana cake, is there a reason for the precise stirring? What if I stirred it 326 times instead of 350 because I can't count? 😉

                Hi Chenonceau,

The pics look good! What brand olive oil do you use or does it not matter?

All numbers are indicative... I thought the recipe looked better than if I said \"Stir a lot of times\"... which is what I actually do because I also can't count.

Recipes can use in oven too. Banana cake needs about 30 minutes 120 deg C with fan on. In conventional oven, about 40 minutes 150 deg C. These numbers are also indicative. I use a lotta different ovens and they're all different so you must look and feel.

I use Borges for everyday. Can buy from NTUC. I buy mostly NTUC house brand stuff but NOT olive oil. The NTUC house brand smells odd.

You can use oven. The original recipe was for oven anyway.
