      Jenn:
NJC and SST are schools with very different programs from each other. NJC is an IP school whose emphasis is on independent learning. SST program focuses on applied learning. Parent chosing should try to understand which learning style is better suited for their kids.

NJC also works towards an application-based focus in their teaching styles, altho' they don't specifically have students take applied subjects.
      http://www.njc.edu.sg/integrated_features.htm

Anyway, I'm sure the schools, whether NJC or SST, have determined that particular student IS suitable for their school's programme. Eh, the selection process was so rigourous & tedious! Test/camp/interview.

So I think it's fair enough, and the choice should be the child's now.

        Perth2020:
        .......

The peak hours traffic jam at Clementi Ave 6 (busy link between AYE & PIE) is really \"HELL\".

        Cheers!

        Perth2020 :?
You mean the traffic is that bad!? :!:
That's one of the factors against it.
        phankao:
......I know there's an event on 24 Oct at SST, but it's only for those who have been given CO/WL. As all places are taken up under DSA already, why does the school still need to have an open house?
        ..........
I am not aware of the event on 24 Oct at SST!
Probably they need this event to make sure that those who got confirmed offer will confirm their places with them and not back out.

            Thanks karmeleon.
Any idea why they remove that box, perhaps getting too loud?

Just received an email from SST to vote the school start time.

There is a detailed presentation of the traffic at different times.
Looks like SST is aware that traffic is one of the major decisive factors influencing the studentโ€™s choice?

                    Hi,

SST's the best choice for Applied Learning.

**Clementi Ave 6 Residents' Feedback: The worst traffic crawl is 3 km/hr (PEAK Hour).

                    Thks.

                    FYI only.

Those who take public transport, eg MRT will not find it so much of a hassle as compared to those who drive. In any case, I think the heavy traffic build-up is more on the road going to AYE.

Like what phankao has mentioned, there is heavy traffic along Bukit Timah Road too, yet there are still people who send their children to HCI, NJC, etc.

                        Hi,

HCI, NJC, NYGHS are the BEST in BT but i'm comparing the traffic to the O levels schools eg SST, CHS,VS, SJI etc.

FYI: Bt Timah/Dunearn Rd's not that bad........... 12km/hr ( not 3km/hr as in SST).

SST 's BEST for Applied Learning (Good Team).

                        Thks
