Hi Lilac88Sorry, can I just ask a quick question?
Does anyone know the estimated COP for Cedar Girls Secondary IP program? The MOE sec school booklet only tells the O level track COP. Thanks!
No one knows the estimated COP as IP will start next year. I called the school yesterday and was surprised to know that Cedar will only take 90 students for IP track and almost half of the vacancies have already been filled via DSA. In other words, there are only around 45 vacancies left for PSLE results posting which is really pathetic. I guess the COP will be quite high then. -
Please enlighten me here… out of touch with the secondary school system since my own…
Qn1) If a student gets eg. 240, it’s an Express for sure and there is no option for student to choose normal, right?
Qn2) If student gets 180, it’s Normal for sure, right?
Qn3) What is range for those who can choose Express or Normal ( somewhere around 188 to 200)??? -
Hi All,
Can anyone advise how are cut off points of top schools affected if :
(i) if papers are generally easy like this year (understand from previous threads) that T-score may be lower --->does that mean COP of top schools will be higher ?
(ii) if the P6 cohort is larger than average (heard that 1999 rabbit year had a lot more babies

Simply Kiasu:
if general t-score is lower, then COP of every school will drop, eg last year top t-score was only 282 and RI's cop was 259, HCI was 257 etcHi All,

in other years where the top t-score was 290+, the cop was 26+ for RI
a few thousand more babies per year will not affect the t-score up or down, out of the pool of +/- 40 thousand -

Thanks so much for your info, didn't realize that this year's paper is similar to last year's. Great.. hopefully the COP for top schools will stay the same or not change much. This is good news!! :imcool:

Will the COP for affiliation be dropped too? Or up to the school’s discretion?

Completely at the school's discretion. -

COP for affiliated students is either set by the school. Usually the more popular schools will set the COP bc they don't want to set aside a specific number of places for affiliated students and possibly see COP(affiliated) drop. -
Ds sch announced that the psle release date will be on 24th-28th but they cant confirm the date .I went to ds’s sch website and checked their past yrs calendar for the psle release date .Fr 2008-2010 ,the psle release days fell constantly on the last Thursday of the November . So does that mean this yr it must be on 24thnov thurs also ?
