Atan:
I have both the TAS and Liza Tan books. I think I refer the TAS one as it is systematic. Saw the ISUN book at Bt Batok library last week at the new books section. Borrowed it out of curiosity as I often see the same 'face' advertised in the papers...no time to browse yet.
Kid only in P1, I can't say I refer to the tas book much. But the liza tan books have exercises (so far cloze passage/sentence unscramble), so I let DS1 do it. But the LT books are more for reading and exposure only. -
Thanks, hquek.
Now, I can look out for the chinese books as well for my son. -

Anyone knows if the TAS book is sold at Popular outlets in the East?
Yes, my friend just called up Tampines Mall outlet, they have it. -
Atan:
I bought a few of those - becos they have compos dealing with different situations. Anyway, quite a fun read. So no regrets.

Hi
Pls help, what is ISUN? -

No suitable time slot for my P2(2012) at TAS East Branch:( was hoping they have a P2 class on sunday evenings…Anyone?

I enquired about the Holiday programme and found about this ‘Love to Write4’ which is held in Ang Mo Kio(5/12 to 6/12) or Bukit Timah(7/12 to 8/12). Has anyone signed for this course yet? The course description says about ‘teaching children how to inject humor into stories’. I wondered if only this aspect will be covered during the class. Maybe they assume those who sign up can already write compo well. My boy(P2) has yet to master compo writing skills. I am looking for a writing class which will equip him with better skills. So am wondering if this is a good choice. Any ideas? thanks

Hi all,
Just to share this bad experience with all the parents that are keen to enrol in TAS.
About 2 weeks ago, I arranged with the person-in-charge that my kid will be going for the trial class at Bukit Timah Branch. On the day, we rushed home to fetch my kid there on time after work. To our astonishment, instead of seeing happy kids attending classes, we realised the school was CLOSED.
Apparently no one was there, not to mention any class going on. There were no calls from the person-in-charge, of any changes etc prior the day.
So frustrated and angry when your calls to the person went unanswered. Made many calls to her, but no response.
WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THIS??
