Nothing fantastic to brag about. I don't understand why they need to group students into different schools when they 'register' for the open house at the entrance, afterall the list is not complete and many are under 'other schools'. The students are coming in at different time of the day so no need to group them under different schools.

I was also asking my mother why we need to register that way. :?
I was amazed with the maga CCA's pupils when they drew with the computer tablet, but i think i didn't saw the computer club's booth. Anyone saw it? How is the club?
BTW, there is school bus but only to some places, mother is now calling the general office about the details of the school bus.
Hope visitors to Crescent could provide more infomation . Thanks in Advance! 🙂

              Hi Leanne

We went to Crescent Girl Secondary School open house at yesterday morning.

The school surrounding look nice perhaps it was painted not long ago due to their 55 years anniversary this year.

According to the Principal, the intake of next year should be similar to this year - 7 classes (final figure is not confirmed yet).

The Secondary 1 student will need to purchase the Tablet PC and heard that the lower secondary students will have quite a variety of computer program to learn.

The Secondary Two students will be given the opportunity to travel around for their CIP to several countries to help the unfortunate group.

They also have various overseas programs to country like USA, Europe etc.

There is a new built Indoor Sport Hall that is being use early this year.

We visited the Monet Lab and see the student demonstrated the drawing of comic’s character by using the Adobe Photoshop CS3 software. This was really amazing! Understand the Art and Craft lesson will be conducted at the Lab. The student can also join the Manga Digital Club as CCA.

At the Ganges Block, we visited the Green Lab (a collaboration between Hewlett-Packard and Crescent), Faraday Lab (equipped with Interactive Immersive Virtual Reality allows students to view simulations through 3D glasses) which they use to conduct the Science Lesson.

There are almost 20 CCA and most of the CCA are conducted on Monday and Thursday from 3.30pm to 6pm except some of the CCA needs to go back on Saturday too.

In the canteen, there are 10 Nintendo Wiis that can book for half an hour (if I do not remember wrongly) for two players per station. There are 10 stalls and I spent $1.60 for a plate of fried noodles with 1 fish cake and 1 slice of fried fish.

              We left about 12.30pm.

              Hope the above is useful.

Hi, your infomation is useful, but do you know why do we need to register with our primary school? It's kinda weird... :?

With the new NEX and BUS INTERCHANGE below it, what is the shortest and easiest route to go to Crescent? TIA! (Bus & MRT or BUS or MRT)
                :lovesite:

                  Hi Helping--Hand,

We also don't understand this arrangement.

I will presume you are coming from Serangnoon MRT, I think one of the shortest route can be:

Serangoon MRT ---Bishan MRT-----Braddell MRT -----Toa Payoh MRT-----Novena MRT-----Newton MRT------Orchard MRT

From Orchard MRT, change to Bus 111 and alight at #7 bus stops (Crescent Girls School).

                  Hope the above is useful.
