      Hi Mummies,

I hope I can control myself during the BookFest and keep to stationery.
When Popular starts the 20%, I need to get the Handbook for P6 Chinese. As for my younger one, 1 more Math assessment, Eng Compo (Casco) and Chinese. If I can get all the titles at the store, then I can bypass the โ€˜assessment bookโ€™ section at BookFest.

          Ok, you know me.
My hubby happened to sit in front of the shelf few nights ago...and made a comment about the number of Science assessment purchased. I pretended not to hear. :whut:

Must control and not lose our sanity :imanangel: ...can't possibly buy a mountain of assessment books from BookFest...btw, it's not that cheap. Just a little bit cheaper to attract parents there. I rather buy from my usual place ie IMM where I know where the books are placed...furthermore there is 20%. Then I just go ga-ga over ONE STOP, ie stationery.

I understand that the Bookfest stretches over 2 weekends. Will the better assessment books still be around at the 2nd weekend? I will be overseas during the first weekend and I have not been to the Bookfest before so I was wondering if it is worth still going down during the second weekend.

:hi5: Janet! Me am one that very :scared: of crowd and will \"get lost\" while \"rumbling\" thru the assessment books ๐Ÿ˜‰ Will most likely wait for the 20% Discount voucher and get my list of Books (p.s. have to control - just get 2 for EL, MT & Maths 1st  ) Science :scratchhead:

My first 'excursion' a few years ago.....very gong, see CHEAP-AH just grab & grab....I really did buy a mountain of assessment books from BookFest  . 2nd trip again.....and the 3rd. Back then, there's lot of $1/$2 books, think probably clearing off old editions, but I dunno mah.
Later discovered I had sooooooo many leftover tho my kids did A LOT in P1-P3. Also had books with almost identical contents, just different book covers :faint: So I WOKE-UP.

Started giving to relatives/neighbours/friends/salvation etc. Also realised it's QUALITY that counts.....not quantity. Now would look for the print date for newer versions too, but since newer versions == less discount == price @ BookFest quite similar to outlets liao.
Plus the scary crowd and distance, I have stopped for ~2 years liao.....shall also wait for the 20% (if I can control till then.....I already itchy-hand bought 4 assessment last week ๐Ÿ˜ข )

                        Kekeke.....I'm always looking at NEXT year's assessment....whoahaha.
Wah....means come 1st Jan 2012 I gotta start looking for Sec 1 material??? BookFest have or not huh?? Just joking, no more BOOKFEST.

I think I better not read the Eng/Chin/Maths Assessment thread too much. Everytime I see any pic uploaded, I go ga-ga and tempted....... ๐Ÿ˜†
