Answer: The answer for Q1 is \"I bought a pen which is expensive\"
Explanation: As the 2 sentences are not in speech the \"is expensive\" would stay the same as it is a fact, and you do not have to report it, it is in direct speech.

For Q2, the answer is \"Clement said that he had gone to the library that day.\"
The explanation is that It is in speech, so the \"went\" would change to \"had gone\" as it would, as some teachers say, \"jump back\" a past tense. \"Today\" would become \"that day\" for the same reason.

Hi Bing_He, yes, many people say it is not tough, but many found the comprehension hard, but according to others, it was quite simple. The compos were quite simple too, question 2 being about a schoolboy who, while cleaning up the beach with his classmates, got bitten by a crab. Question 3 was where you were waiting for your mother outside a shop in a shopping mall when you heard a strange noise. Many people who wrote question 3 wrote about bombs. Anyway, One down, three to go! :celebrate:

My son wrote about a fire alarm being the strange noise. Is that accepted? Cos his tuition teacher told him that it is fine as we don’t hear fire alarms everyday and it could be strange to some. I’m still not sure… Anyway he said paper 2 is easy!

i also wrote about fire alarm! plus the cackling sound of the fire. i was so scared it is out of point becoz nobody write the same as me

to valeri : ya. My son is also worried that he wrote out of point. Hahaha my son wrote a model compo for his class about a fire outbreak. So he copied the exact same compo. Turns out 1 of his other friend wrote the same compo too! Pray that they both have diff markers!
