      Agree with buds.

I am also from the same kampong. During my time, I checked both MMI enrichment at Railmall and MMI childcare at TenMile also Phoenix walk.
MMI TenMile operated as a childcare while MMI Railmall continued as enrichment center.
My child also attended Jan&Elly at RailMall. I also explored Zoophonics(super long story which I will not elaborate here).
      So I am kind of been-there-done-that… 😎

Jan&Elly may be perceived as slow because they added some grammar elements in their programmes. Years ago they market themselves as offering quality expat teachings but some of the established expat teachers had to leave the country due to various personal reasons so now they changed their marketing strategy.

Back to original topic (OT) :
igmum10, have you found what you need or narrowed down your choices ?

        buds:
when i said they didn't 'move' was...

that they discontinued their enrichment centre there (RM)
when they opened and began operating another childcare
in Bedok dear. The one in Ten Mile already started operations
for a long time before the RM outlet closed.... They now focus
on childcare services. Ten Mile includes the enrichment within
their childcare facilities. And besides i do travel to & fro that
area a lot as well since i'm staying round the corners of this
part of the west. 😉 .... and i AM from within the education
industry as well, so i am somehow also pretty informed and in still
touch of the goings-on within this industry.
Actually I find it very puzzled. In this case,I also knew that ten mile junction operated as child chare long time before RM outlet closed. May be I do not understand the meaning behind the words but I am only trying to point out that ten mile junction MMI has enrichment course and not only operate as child chare and some of the courses are moving from railmall to ten mile junction. At least, this is what I am being told and the person in charge of recruiting new students is the same as the one in Railmall. Hence, I am only offering a suggestion and not even commenting if they are good. I said I am not sure.

In my opinion, every child is different and as far as I am concerned, there is no enrichment course/centre which suits for all. You may find it no good but I may find it good. It depends if the child like the teacher etc.
So long the teacher can stir my child's interest in learning, it does not really matter which enrichment centre is conducting it as the syllabus is following a certain format and can't be that bad. Just like top primary school and neighbourhood school, most important is that the child enjoys the environment there.

I amy not be from the so called industry but from my years of experiences of sending my girl to different tution centres, I am also speaking from experience.

Anyway, I never want to expand the topic to this extent and hence this is the end of my participation

Dear All helpful Parents , Snowyqueen and Buds

Thanks for sharing the wonderful information…finally…I have decided to send my child to Apple 3 at Bangkit road which is a stone throw…away (5-10 mins walk) …(I just discovered this centre not long ago thru some word of mouth and am willing to let my DS try since his classmate also attending classes there…)…however…he has to start from K1 right from the beginning as he does not have Phonic basics…thou he is in K2 this year…to parents staying nearby…itz about $60 per month…quite affordable… can try considering…!

          Cheers

You're welcome and glad you finally found one at such value for $ deal.

In getting children to learn Phonics it's the human factor that counts
most. If you get a good teacher whether or not it's a premium centre
your child will love learning and the results would still be spectacular.
I have worked in non-famous non-established places before and the
parents were surprised why i stayed. :politebleah: It's the heart and
the passion of the teacher that counts. A good teacher can deliver
any lessons asked of her... very effectively. All my best. 😄 Hope
your child enjoys his lesson. 😉
