super tired, my gal only mentioned that her class having pizza party, didnt say anything abt stellar week activity.


I got home tutors for my gal. But her results got worse than not having any tutors.

So nice got pizza party.. :boogie:

I received a note fr DS's form teacher about Stellar Week Activity, stress now cos need to find cloak, fanciful shorts, socks, fire shoes and a super hat. :slapshead: where to get within such a short notice. :stompfeet:

U mean the SA2 results got worse? My DS has homework almost everyday so not worth for me to get home tutors to coach him how to do his schoolwork.

I used to sit beside DS to coach him his schoolwork but realised he relied on me to feed him all the answers and to spot his mistakes. :mad: 2nd half of the year I changed, UDTC (U Do Teacher Check) and i go through with him all the mistakes made.

The Englist Department will be organizing a Stellar Week Activity on 10-Nov (Thu). The pupils (P1) will have to design his/her own costumes and bring it on 8-Nov (Tue).


DS will be performing 'Mr Dan The Flying Man', :scratchhead: how Mr Dan's costume looks like? :nailbite: could not find the book at home. Anyone can help to scan the image of Mr Dan to me so can assist DS to design the costume.

Hi, we won't have the book as it is one of those big books used by the teacher in the classroom for teaching. It is not the readers that we bought for extensive reading activity.

JR thanks. Guess the only way is to email DS's teacher for help. Wana get something similar to Mr Dan.

May I know which tuition/enrichment centre did you send your DS/DD to?

DS currently attending Tien Hsia (Chinese), Stalford (English) at Jurong Point. Thought of changing to other centre, any recommendation?

Both my DD & DS benefitted from Tien Hsia. They started in K1 and stayed with Tien Hsia till P6. Tien Hsia used to be in Jurong east entertainment centre. After the building was teared down for re-development, Tien Hsia moved to Jurong Point. The better teachers did not follow to JP and I noted that DD n DS not as motivated as before. I have no regrets spending the $ on them for Tien Hsia.

Honestly I am not sure whether did DS benefit from Tien Hsia? He cant even speak one full sentence in Mandarin but managed to get band 1 for his chinese. :shock:

Frontier primary is ready and will start pri1 yr 2012. Using wgps for registration only.

WGPS will remain, just that the P1 registration (2012) for the new school Frontier Primary School was being held in WGPS as Frontier is still in the final stage of construction.

Hihi, like to check if your P1 kids are being assigned to any CCA? My gal has been selected for Art Club. Any of your kids joining the Art Club also?

My daughter has been assigned Rope skipping as CCA. not sure about art club. But do know that she is the art monitor in her class
