My kid will join P1 student care ctr at Columbia Jurong West next year.

The principal told me timetable v pack, not even encourage to take a shower before go to the school in the afternoon session as might miss out the tuition lessons.

They very emphasis the academic results as placed on the memo board....do not know is it the right environment for my kid? Hopefully will not scare her off as her child care centre more fun theme oriented.

      Hi YqYq,

I'm also considering this Columbia Student Care and read that u hv enrolled ur child there.

How do you find this Columbia Student Care? Does ur child like this place? Do the teachers ensure all school homework are completed at student care?

      THanks for your feedback.

My kid joined in last Dec and I withdraw her in May. Even forfeited my deposit. They don't allow homework bring to centre to do coz their timetable squeezed with group tuition from 9am - 11am. Then lunch till 11.30pm and start packing to school by 11.45pm, reach school before 12pm. My kid will be wandering at school from 12 - 12.30pm before assembly.

Not encouraged shower before go to school, and breakfast will be either 5's biscuits or 2 slices of bread with jam on alternate days. Lunch catered by outside and not bad.

Teachers quite dedicated but environment so so...as too many students in the centre especially during holiday as Morning and afternoon session students wil be there together.

Hope the info can serve you well...

          Hi all,

My child has been with Columbia Academy @ TT for a few months. I can see positive improvements (discipline and language ability) within my child. His mandarin level has improved drastically. So far, I do not send for my child for any enrichment course. I find that the school is suffice to provide strong academic base for my child.

              Hi mummies,

Any comments on Columbia Junior Academy @ 2 Havelock Road (next to MOM)? Have viewed the centre and I am impressed by their curriculum and the environment.

              Thanks!

Hi mummies, I am recently also get interested in this school, due to I let my 21 mths boy trying the little skool international school, and felt there quiet disappointed to me. I strongly like a place where have dedicated teacher, strong focus in learning new things, activities etc. Hence, any feedback to the Havelock road centre?

Hi mummies, finally I already visit both of e school. Havelock is good in environment definitely, a bit higher fees compared to jurong TT. Jurong TT too old in facilities, I think lessons plans are good, only bad things are those foods provided to children, they used cater foods which I really dislike, even that’s was certified. Behind the door, you cannot see what happen inside e kitchen. I knew some of e kitchen as only keep hygiene themselves while under e application of health board. I would rather prefer a place where the kitchen we can observe and see ourselves. Hence it’s totally out of my listed. I think as to be a successful preschool, child care centre, no doubt e academic should be focus, but must also take good care of e children’s health. …just share what I though when choosing good school…

I have 3 sets of uniforms, tracksuits and PE attire for those interested in signing up at Columbia Academy preschool at The Furniture Mall. Also their mattress for sale. Almost brand new as used only once. The uniforms are all in S size. Suitable for playgroup and pre-nursery.

Please call 96202853 for a good deal. Thanks!

I had enrolled my child in Oct 2016 but had to pull out after only 2 days due to some personal problems. So no comments and the uniforms have been washed but worn only once each. PE attire washed but not worn. Mattress has a cover over it, so it’s like brand new.
