Sorry, i'm not familiar with Geylang Methodist nor Tanjong Katong primary. Perhaps ring up both schools, ask if conduct any open house ?

if No Open house, ask - is it possible to book appointment one day, ask the duty Officer can visit the school, bring you around the school, show you the school premises, etc. Then you can ask all the concerns you've in mind.

Sorry, I don't think I want to elaborate here. We spoke to the kids directly (who are currently studying in these schools). From the comments that we heard from the kids and the things that we observed/saw during our \"unofficial\" visits to the schools, my hubby and I decided to go for GMP. My son is also happy that that we put him there as he has seen the schools previously and accordingly to him, he likes GMP the most, just his feeling. Fyi, we have visited a few schools before the registration. We feel that GMP's environment might be more suitable for my boy. There is no right or wrong. Others might feel that the other school is better.

hi,

I am keen to enroll my son into Maha Bodhi.
THey do not take PV. Any idea how to get into Phase 2B? Their only affiliation is through Singapore Buddhist Fed. I wrote to them and they are not very helpful in this. Any experience from parents?

I'm in the same situation as you...Im a buddhist, but not a member of SBF :(...Apprecaite if you can share your experience/ tips with me. Thanks much!!
PS: Im even thinking of moving house to stay close to this school...

2C - depends on luck.


a friend of mine, stay at that block 305 Ubi Avenue 1 - directly opposite Maha Bodhi school (same building as Kumon branch), failed in balloting. From across the road staying so near, she can hear the principal made school announcement, towards evening time before school dismissal. Now her child end up at Eunos primary. She was upset. :sick: :frustrated: :stupid:

another friend stay much further in Macpherson Circuit road, but got balloted in.

is all luck. if is yours, is yours.

for Haig Girls' primary last year 2011 - balloting conducted only for 2C Supplementary.

under 2C - even all those stay > 2km successfully got in.

Balloting was only conducted in Phase 2C Supplementary, for those residing more than 2km.

Hello all, i’m undecided between Haig Girls’, CHIJ Katong and Ngee Ann. Any advice?


Haig Girls’ seem to have the best academic results, but wonder if I should be concerned about the high non-Chinese vs Chinese ratio…
