      Chen,

Sending some :hugs: and positive vibes to ya.

If anyone can pull through this, you can.

Best of luck and most importantly, BE and STAY positive. Don't let the MIL wipe the smile off your face

Remember you are no longer the doormat but the gatekeeper of the peace and happiness of your family. And after all these time, I believe your MIL too know not to trifle with you and in fact appreciate that you are a tigress when it comes to protecting your family.

                    Chenonceau, jiayou! πŸ™‚

For me, I think each of u needs to have some personal spaces. I think these days MIL are still not that bad compared to the those of my mum and grandma's era. At least more open minded, luckily my MIL belongs to this type...else I would FAINT flat. The only thing is about KITCHEN's Space arrangement that needs to workout..who is in CONTROL. So far like no 2 women can be HEAD in the 1 kitchen.
I am the assistant when I am staying at in-law's place. When they popby to ours place, the kitchen is mine, my MIL plays the assistant role.
