ans is 52. but how do we get that answer?

Joe got 3/5 of Ken's marble.

So if ken is 5/5 then joe's is 3/5
Total 8 units for the 2 boys
1 unit is 10
To be equal they needs to be 4 units each.
Hence Ken needs to give 50-40 = 10 marbles to Joe.

Yes. correct. It is something like 2 times more than another.. but then saying as a fraction form.

Yes. correct. It is something like 2 times more than another.. but then saying as a fraction form.

for Q with \"as many as\" usually the numerator refers to the name on the left and denominator refers to the name on the right
some times the Q will use mixed number so has to know how to change

so for this Q:
Luke had 7/3 as many cards as Matthew
so Luke has 7 units and Matthew has 3 units
to have same amt of unit, Luke has to give 2 to Matthew

10 units = 140
2 units = 14x2 = 28
