Ahaha I’m someone who goes to class with ponytail sometimes. If I’m too much in a rush, I would just tie a pony tail than do a bun because I can’t do it quickly. I prefer a neat pony tail than an untidy bun that might just come off any second. Luckily my teacher doesn’t mind so much.

My DD really loves ballet and thats why she’s up to this level even after several occasion that I ask her to quit. She wish to continue ballet upto a profession level inorder for her to be able to be a teacher (full or part time). I attended the dance school open house yesterday and decided to let her finish her grade 6 next year.

hi all! my 6 yr old girl had been learning ballet since ardoun 3 yr old…currently learning at Attitude…supposed to go for Primary Exam under CSTD, this Nov, but coz her teacher was not feeling well for a while & not able to conduct the extra caoching lessons, so she postponed to next year March/April…

May I know whether my girl’s progress is considered to be ok/slow?
After her exam, would like to transfer her to SBA(need audition?), or Nafa(which I think require audition usually held in May), coz after reading the comments here, think RAD syllabus is better?
But not sure whether she is able to pass the audition?:( she’s very interested in ballet…but I’m not too sure whether Attitude has been ok, coz personally, I think her progress is quite slow, but I’m not trained in ballet, so am not sure also…

Or is there any teacher/school which does RAD to recommend?? (in case she doesn’t pass the auditions at SBA/Nafa)

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I’m also looking for a dancing class such as hip hop for my children in the north. Any good recommendation? TIA.

If you wanna expose your kid to different genres of dance first, can try Dance Babes at Jitterbugs.

Dear mummies, can I check when can your girls start to skip during the ballet class?

My daughter is the only girl in her class who cannot skip when they are doing their routine "skipping around the class" exercise. Dunno isst because of her age or she is not suitable for ballet coz her legs seems to have some co ordination problem.

How long your gal starts to skip?

Practice with the children as the class progresses. Soon, you gal will be able to skip like the rest

Not all children has the same strong area in ballet. Initially some can skip well, some can do knee bend exercise gracefully, some can do frog exercise without effort etc. Through practice, one will reach about the same level with the rest

                      So no worries…

i notice that a lot of ballet girls with long hair tend to bun up their hair, look very femine & nice. 😂

if a child has short hair - is there such thing as can buy a false bun (sounds silly to ask, but curious)? because my daughter insist on want to keep long hair, but our weather here is so hot & humid, sweat a lot.
