Condo size might be bigger but there are a lot of wasted/useless space and some rooms are so :rant: :mad: small.
Hdb though smaller is more practical in design. -

You did not specify what type of toilet.
Some toilets can be extremely luxurious. -

There are pple who opt to be single, couples who opt to be childless, couples who opt not to stay tge with older parents or in-laws but within the same estate, couples who opt not to hv live-in domestic helpers.Fewer people per household now. That seems to go against the have more kids policy.
With a double income family, having more kids means there is now a need to get grandparents to stay to help look after the 3 kids. With a maid, the household has now 8 people (assume 3 kids)
There are also pple who want to get married, married and hv children (either 1 only or more than 1), become a 3 -tier family, hv a live-in domestic helper.
It is a delicate balance our HDB planning must maintain. -
