If you notice top right corner, there is a number (believe is 1-566 this year), after they put in the 'current-school' GEP student in, is it possible that is the sequence they follow? Or they arrange the number by school?

According to GEB, the numbers there have no bearing on a child's ranking. Maybe we can ask vlim what number his son was. If the number is low, (as in 001 - 050) then we know that it is a ranking.

alamak jtoh..like tt I must :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: liao...
my ds serial no is 100+..and I remembered his p3 classmate who also got into gep, his serial number is +- 1 of my ds serial no...so I think should be the kids serial number firstly according to school then according to their sir name..Maybe current p3 qualified geppers can verified tt with your classmates ... šŸ˜‰
There will be another letter send to confirm which school the kid will be allocated to,...at the bottom left it comes with another serial number...At the time I also wonder is it the ranking serial or otherwise,.. šŸ˜‰ ....anyway I think that is not too important afterall...More important is the kid performance from p4 - p6 ... imo... šŸ˜„

Maybe they track to find out if their GAT method is alright & is there a need to change?

Just to add to the confusion, my dd went from non sap all girls school to a sap co-Ed school, far away from my house :scratchhead:

My goodness, really confusion x confusion. I am so glad that I do not hv to go thr such stress. To go or not to go ( into GEP) is oreli stress. To think of which school to opt, and having nitemares while waiting for the result, this is torturing !

Just4Fun, help, this is too confusing! If I'm not wrong your dd is in that top scorer school, right? How does your dd go to school everyday, do they have school bus? Is your dd current school any of the four choices, if so, which choice and how many choices did you put in her list?

                  YY1205:
Hi all, my house quite near Lakeside MRT (3 mins walk), from \"distance\" point of view, Nanhua is closer than Nanyang to us. But seems Nanyang is much more convenient for us as just need take MRT & circle line, time spent is more firm. And we don't like the way that take MRT then transfer to bus (waiting time uncertain) to Nanhua.

Does anyone know if I apply Nanyang, this reason enough or not?

Hi YY1205, I have exactly same situation with you. Stay v near Lakeside mrt(5mins walking), our first choice also NY, second NH....
If our children are posted to same school, maybe we can find a few more kids and share cab together.. hehehh

Hi everyone! Am new to this forum, hope to learn from and contribute to all of you out there! My ds got into GEP this year and needs to change school as well. What is the main problem faced by you guys who had experienced such a change for your kid? Thanks in advance for your feedback and advice! šŸ˜„

Was at the briefing yesterday. Rather disappointing. The MOE staffs seemed unprepared for the Q&A. The reply by the other lady from MOE was rather out of context. The Tao Nan (?) principal did a good job but too bad it was in mandarin. Think the Q&A simply too short as compared to the marketing talk.

It is my DS. He goes to school by school bus. His school is already a GEP school, and since we do not intend to change school, we just hv to indicate his current school as the first choice, leaving the rest blank. There is no fear that he wld not be selected by his own school. šŸ™‚ Lucky us !
His school is in the north. Let me know if u wish to know more abt his school.. though doubt it since u are at the west !
