gorilla, I picked up 2 淘树桃乐园 DVDs from the library, and its great First time, my dd watched it, she wasn't too keen but when she watched round 2, think she enjoyed it more. So now I have reserved another 2 copies

Hi tuteee, welcome!

michyms, glad your daughter likes it. There’s the English version as well which my girls love too! The younger one knows the lines of every character even the pet toad! I’m gonna get the Chinese Story Books.

[michyms]

Gorilla, your little one is so cute! My kids are extremely amused that a toad Is called \"ha ma\" in chinese ha ha. Would you have a link that shows how the story books look like?

[gorilla]

michyms, at least now the kids know toad in chinese

here's the link...http://www.sgshinekids.com/tao-shu-2812026641.html

you can find the books in the library too but i only managed 1 and it was in quite a bad shape

[KSMUM]

Gorilla and mychyms, guess u guys are the lucky ones. I bought the whole set for my DD and she complain is the most boring show...

[michyms]

gorilla, thanks for the info, there are copies in the library but its all over the place! But I'll go check out a copy first before buying

Just to recommend here is another series my kids love: 可爱的鼠小弟 series of 12 simple Chinese books. Even my #2 can read some of it as each page only has a few short lines and the drawings are hilarious. Check out the images of the books here. Full set can be found at most libraries.

[michyms]

KSMum, how about showing your dd a full Chinese cartoons instead? Tao Shu series is more factual with real people talking, so maybe she doesn’t like this kind.

[gorilla]

KSMum, hahaha…

michyms, thanks for sharing… looks interesting. Will check it out.

[KSMUM]

michyms, she prefer Korean show than watching Chinese cartoon…hahaha,

[michyms]

KSmum, ha ha, then that will help her learn how to read Chinese subtitles also
