[Jurong West] Primary Schools

I guess is a fairer system. that means those 20 are more or less got their space in Rulang. I wonβt want to be ending up dong PV for nothing.

Yup... I guess thats the reason too.
But no sure what's the selection criteria. -
agree. think this yr many parents who PV were very upset not to even have a chance to ballot. plus it's really getting hotter and hotter each yr!
last year their PSLE results were very good too. usually there is a trend for schools with recent good PSLE results to have more registrants the following few years.
I think that happened to Rosyth this year cos of their top scorers! -
Strange that Rulang is taking in 20PV eventhou one og those PV is staying more than 1km away from the sch. How i know coz i happen to know one of the PV.
-
So it means that we apply PV at Rulang, then school will only choose 20 PV to be performed in the school?? Or all the the 300 PV do already then they select 20?
Sorry I am rather new here and confuse abt it. My girl will be attending P1 in 2015, but i am out of 1km but within 2km -

Probably the PV selection criterias are not based on distant but rather proficiencies in certain fields. -

My understanding from the principal during my DD's P1 orientation last Sat is that Rulang will only select 20 as their PVs.So it means that we apply PV at Rulang, then school will only choose 20 PV to be performed in the school?? Or all the the 300 PV do already then they select 20?

To be sure, it's better to contact them directly. -
yes, should be "select" only 20 PV. they wonβt let 300 Parents do the hours and then disappoint so many later on.
And yes, the criteria would be based on what the school needs, not so much on distance. However, with recent balloting situation, the school would probably stick to those who live near the school so that none would ballot out, if possible.
For that one case, maybe they are going to move nearer by registration time? -
Congrats to Rulang Primary! They did the Jurong West region proud! :celebrate:
They have the highest score in the nation of 283 and also many others who did well.
Congrats also to all other primary schools in Jurong West. The kids, parents, teachers have all put in a lot of effort and today they are all rewarded!
Have a good holiday season everyone! -
