These are the titles:
1。 皮皮鲁总动员 by 郑澳洁. Under these series, there are 10 titles. My ds2 has read 3 of the books - 皮皮鲁外传； 罐头小人； 象鼻子牛的故事. There are hanyupinyin in the book. So it is easy for ds2 to read on his own. The story is interesting. Highly recommended.

2. Another series is 张君为 story. It has six books, from 张君为一年级 to 六年级。Story is very funny. My ds2 has read 2 of the books, P2 and P5. Primary one to three are with hanyupinyin while the P4 to P6 are without.

We will always look for these books when we visit the library. Hope to finish all the titles in this holiday. Hope your ds will enjoy these chinese story books too.

my boy is going book 3 short stories for Zhang Qiu Sheng (ZQS). still stuck at 1 story per night....but at least no need me to sit beside him to read.

Book No 1 - look under ZYJ.
Book NO 2- Not ZJW...张君伟上小一，is the title, not the author. I do not have the book with me now... so not too sure which shelf we should look under. All the books are chapter book - one story with many short chapters in it with hanyupinyin. Story is very interesting. My ds2 is so engrossed to the story that he finishes in 1-2 days.

R ur children taking higher Chinese in pri sch? My K2 son just attended his p1 orientation & was put thru a mini test. After his test, he confessed he can’t answer all the Chinese questions. I went thru the booklist & realized the textbook is higher Chinese. My question- is there vast diff in standard between higher & normal Chinese? I’m afraid he will be put off if the standard is too high. He is only at 四五快读Bk 2. Need to restart Bk 3 this hol. Any advise?

I was crazy about 天龙八部 when I read it in secondary school, could only understand about 80% of the words, but I got so hooked. I would have loved the comics too back then.

FYI, we had stopped at comics #9 and did not proceed with the rest as I found some part in #10 and #11 are not the same with the original novel.

Anyway, we had finished the show last week and I agree with you that this is a wonderful show.

萧峰 is still my most favorable hero and the part that 失手打死假扮父亲段正淳的阿朱 is still 金庸迷心头永远的痛! :sad:

I have also asked peeka to change the shipping method for me before. I chose the 7 day shipping at first then later realized that the books may be very heavy and requested that peeka changed to economy shipping before the books were received in China. They readily changed for me.

I haven't tried using Peeka to order from Dangdang.

I only used Peeka to get books from Taobao since I can find the books there and also the price was cheaper than dangdang.

Like to ask mummies who have used peeka before. Do you have their email address for customer service? I have some queries but couldn’t find an email address on their website.


Also, what is their handling charges? does it go by per item? or per order regardless of number of items?

The handling charge is $5.00 per Purchase Order.
(I had purchased two types of books under one PO and they still charge $5.00)

The shipping charges were depend on the dimension of the good and so far I had paid $10.00 and $17.77 respectively.
