Hi Dimsum,jojo:
I am in Taipei currently. It has been raining EVERYDAY since my arrival on 11 Nov. And the rain sometimes last for the whole day! The driver told us this was unusual. If it's light drizzle, still ok. But sometimes, the rain turned heavy and this made sightseeing an unpleasant experience. Like this morning, we went to Yangming Shan and we couldn't see any scenery because the rain was so heavy and the fog was so bad that the visibility was as little as 50m.
Yes, umbrellas and raincoats are a must. I wonder when the rain will stop.
thkq for take time to reply my query.
We are planning to go Flying cow and Cinqing, not sure will the activities proceed as per normal :nailbite:
are you with tour or F&E? -

I am traveling F&E. When are you going? Maybe the rain will have stopped by then. Not sure what activities you are referring to but i really think things will be be carried out as planned. Don't worry too much

Today's weather was pretty good. Only rained in the morning till 11am.

Understand not easy to shop for clothes in Taiwan at this time of year, as they sell mostly winter clothings. A pity though, I would really love to get their clothings as cheap and more fashionable too.

We spent less than an hour at wufenpu as it was raining an whatβs more, majority of the clothes ainβt suitable for Singapore weather. Although the price is reasonable, quality wise not too good.

For Cingqing and Cow Farm, is mainly farm activites outdoor, so with raining weather not sure what can we do there.
Will keep my finger cross :xedfingers: and pray
for sunshine day:)

insider, thanks! Yup, it's my favourite place too! There's one stretch of shops all selling kids' clothes. But most of them put up signs to say they do not do retail sales. The clothes are very fashionable! But I didn't buy any as it's all winter wear.dimsum
if got spare time, drop by my favourite δΊεε (MRT will be εε±±ε€η«).
if you go by εε±±ε€η«, you may pass by a massage shop. I tried their physio one before and was good (whole body crack, crack, crack, kind) but foot massage same price as Singapore.
That is the place where I can comb many nice and cheap clothes for my daughter.
Shops there open at around 11 am. Cant remember the age of your child/ren. Plenty of kids' clothes there as well.

I saw the massage shop. My mum and I tried one at Danshui. Very very cheap, TWD 200 (less than SGD10) for a 20min upper body massage. -

Yup, the clothes are really cheap. Even the Hongkong businessmen and women went there to get their stock. Far East Plaza shops are selling like 2-3 times more expensive than wufenpu. One salesgirl told us the best time for us to come is Sep/Oct when they are clearing the summer stock to make way for autumn/winter wear. Prices are slashed further. If I had come during that period, I must bring alot more cash!!! -
Just come back Taipei and had us Mr. Wu for my transfer. He is really very patient and accommodating. His mini Van got no problem to squeeze us, we had 7 adults and 3 kids and we feel very spacious. Except when the airport transfer time which we had alot of luggage and need to squeeze a bit. But if without luggage, the van can accommodate us and still spacious.
