When to start giving Allowance?

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: I have that problem too. We sit down every term, count the number of school days, and then we transfer to his bank account. Then we show him the numbers. He likes to see the money accumulate.I think I hv a diff problem. My P3 DS told me I need not hv to give him any money.
In fact, for his angbao , I am free to take! I initially tried to start to give him some pocket money in P1 & wld encouraged him to buy food fr canteen. But he prefers to bring own snack fr home ( so that he can hv more time to play or go library) & the pocket money is always there untouched & I totally stopped giving any after 1 wk. At first I was worried that he had no sense of money, but yet , when shopping ( he hates shopping !Study/revision is better than shopping ! ), he hardly asks to buy anything. Sometimes I hv to insist that he buys somethings ( eg some toys/ games to occupy his holiday time) , and when this happens, he will compare the prices & choose the cheapest one.
So what kind of child do I hv here ? No money sense or just bo-chap type? :? -

If I start giving allowance to kid, think will collect back from kid as online purchased toys seem cheaper.
Right now, have not start allowance for kid. I bought all the toys for my kid. -

He is P3 .. I will accumulate and deposit into his bank acct. But honestly, whether I really put in or not, he doesn't seem to care. Unlike our old time.. we wld be so excited to count how much we gathered esply after CNY .
