        Helping-hand,

Don’t compare marks in that manner as standard of paper in different schools are different. Cannot compare across the board like this. PSLE is a national exam and all face the same paper. Keep your hopes high as you know you have tried your best. Whatever is the outcome, choose the more appropriate sec school for yourself. The education journey is not about marks only, It is about learning and getting to be a better person, and contributing to society in the future.

Don't be upset. There was a girl in my school who took PSLE last year. She got an aggregate score of 225. She was disappointed. Now, she's having fun in her secondary school coz she chose the right school. Same to you Helping hand, whatever marks come out it's up to you to choose the right path. If you choose the right path , you can excel in life. :hugs:

Thank you, Leanne and Ms Tay. Just felt that sometimes parents and kids are too caught up in the "marks" in the education journey that they forgot to appreciate the true meaning of it. Must always step back and remind ourselves.

                  Yes, very true pen88n.

Yesterday attended ds2 p1 orientation, principal already warned parents not to be so focus on marks for young children, let them learn the joy of learning and not pushing them for marks esp hard drilling during the holidays.

                  Cheers,
                  Leanne

That's true teachers and parents can't just push the child for the marks , they should enjoy. I remember when i was P1, There wasn't any homework except learning spelling.

                        Hi KSPs,

I m back after a last minute trip to Florida. My ds n I followed sg on his business trip. Had to spend 3 days to catch up w e many posts I missed during the last few weeks.

Hope everyone is doing well in e midst of the built-up anxiety of our long awaited results ... It seems to be OURS anyway πŸ˜‰

Just to share that my DS finally made up his mind to study in RI as we had recently shifted to serangoon area. Not εŸζ―δΈ‰θΏ in our case, more of proximity to dh's workplace. I'd been wondering if dh chose to move here w an ulterior motive of 'forcing' my DS to choose ri, e school which dh prefers. Haha ... Knowing how my DS hates to waste time traveling. But gotta give him face la ... Cannot divulge his 'secret'.
