You have a very promising son, kohjl. Not because of his excellent answers to the questions, but his humble demeanor that conveys a maturity beyond his age. There was none of that unbridled \"I-win-you-lose\" lip displayed by some of the other kids after the math exam last week.... FINALLY got my A/C back.... my son had hijacked it for most of this evening. He wanted to answer just one or two questions, but got carried away.
That's fine with me...helped to \"bump up\" my post ratings... ...
It gives me great hope and confidence that we locally-bred Singaporeans are going to have a future in our own country. -
ChiefKiasu:
yes, fully agreed. Good academic results and character.

My exact same thoughts. The words 'maturity' and 'humility' came to mind immediately. You should be very proud, kohjl.

my girlβs ans is same as you for rod (magnetism & gravity)
For the additional parallel bulb, brightness is the same. -

Thanks so much for your encouraging comments. I appreciate it a lot!
And yes, I am very proud of him and how he is growing up.

You are superb, especially your second reason. Bull-eye.
The Question:
There are 2 diagrams. The first shows a snake slithering (but the question put it as crawling) and the other shows a lizard running.
NOTE: The question already stated that the lizard moves faster than the snake (not travel a longer distance).
Then the question asked: Give 2 reasons.
My answer:
Reason 1:As the whole snake's body is in contact with the sand while the lizard only has its feet on the sand, there will be more friction between the snake and the sand than the lizard and the sand. So the lizard will move faster.
Reason 2: As the snake moves in a zig-zag while the lizard moves in a straight line, the snake has to move a longer distance than the lizard.
But I am not sure whether my asnwer is correct. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

wat bout the Q about the farmer spraying intesticide and the increase or decrease of the veg an fruit tree

The Question:
The farmer found that alot of caterpillars were eating his crops. The farmer sprayed alot of pesticides onto them. Which of the following is correct?
My answer:
Crops-increased
Fruits-increased
Reason: Even if the pesticides kill some of the plants, pesticides will kill most of the caterpillars. Since there are no more caterpillars feeding on the leaves, the number of crops will increase and therefore, the number of fruits will increase.
From: kohjl Jr
Hi Kohjl Jr, is there an option for both crops and fruits to decrease, if yes, I will pick that option.
The words \"alot of pesticides\" may imply that some of the crops will be killed by the pesticides. -
kohjl:
Your answer fit that of a Sec student. You need not take PSLE :celebrate:....When 2 equal forces are acting on each other in opposite directions, the resultant force is 0 as the magnetism cancels out the force of gravity.....

Hi Kohjl (Mummy)
I have not seen better answers than those from your son. His concept is clear and his answer is precise. Your are so blessed.
