Yah, this year PH didn't make it to the scholar list. But I feel that a more accurate gauge of a sch's performance is the mean T-score and % (A*/A), rather than be dependent on a single shiny star.

Kong Hwa did well this yr. The top girl carried herself well during the interview. Can see she's from 小康之家．

I do agree that mean T-score is definitely more important. Any idea what is PH's mean T-score? Rulang tops the whole cohort but there were only 63 students scoring>250. If not wrong, is close to 20%. However, I would say that both schools did well as their results were not boosted by GEPers.

Yeah congrats to all who have performed to expectation, and those who exceeded expectation.


Just in case there are some who think that their kids could have done better, let's encourage them in their moment of need and they'll remember your kindness for life. Plan how to move forward in Sec sch - a totally new ballgame - and they will emerge from this setback stronger and more resilient in character.

I mean no boss ever asks me what's my PSLE score. In a marathon, PSLE is just the warm-up.

This year throws out some major surprises - top kid from Rulang, a non GEP sch, NYPS didn't make it to the scholar's list for the first time, many top scholars from non-GEP schs, and lastly, of the 9 Chinese girls in the scholars list, 5 have the name Hui (Hwee).

Darn, I should have named my son Hui Hui. Hahahaha ..... :rotflmao:
